A fragile thing called 'L-I-F-E'...

I now realize that life is a fragile thing and that anyone can be robbed of it, you and me included! I have to admit that it’s a tad bit scary when I think about the fact that any of my loved ones can be stolen from me on any day at any time without warning. So yes, I am going to appreciate the time and opportunities I have with my friends and family and not take them for granted and share my joy and laughter with them and mould and crave happy moments with them and make them smile and laugh and last but definitely not least TELL THEM JUST HOW OH SO VERY MUCH I LOVE THEM (while they are still alive and kicking)!

Keep in mind that conveying one’s love can be expressed and received in oh so many ways. Just because your mother doesn’t verbally tell you that she loves you every single friggin’ day doesn’t mean that she doesn’t love you (anymore) or that she loves you less compared to yesterday — in my case, it’s all spelled out in the things she does for me. Actions not only speak louder than words but it is also more powerful in delivering the message. Then again, the feeling of being loved is perceived differently by each and everyone. For some, saying it IS sufficient. For others, MORE than just saying it is required to feel that they are giving love and being loved in return.

We need not wait for our loved ones to be stolen from us before we realize it’s a little too late for us to tell them that we loved them. So go… Tell the ones you love that you love them today… for there might not be a tomorrow! Let your loved ones know that they are being appreciated and make sure you mean what you say when you say it!

'Carrot-cutting-kung fu' baybeh!

I woke up in the afternoon today! Whoooooh! Rarely ever get to do that nowadays (huhuhu…). ‘Nywho, yeah, so I was like,

“Awh mayn, late adi, can’t do ‘ny ingredient-shopping luu!”

“What can I do now lehh… that would be productive and wouldn’t be a complete waste of my time as well? Hmmm…”

“Oh I know!! I shall cut some carrots and practice my ‘carrot-cutting-kung fu’ baybeh (…before the carrots go moldy)! Haii-yakk!” (Nyeh!)

And so I did.

[Wokay, stand back please… carrot-cutting-kung fu’ can be rather dangerous. Kids, these carrots were cut by a trainING professional… *ahem ahem* PLEASE DO NOT try this at home! (Wakakaka…)]

Initial batch... (using 2 carrots)

Ultimately... Voila! (using 4 carrots)

Oh wait, chup! Forgot to show you the carrot-wrapper-brand! (Not that you needed to know they were FRESH PARTNER's... or that they were only 99¢ a packet. Huhuhu...)

The moment you've all been waiting for...

Ladies and Gentlemen...

The RESULTS!

So jeah, the rest of the evening was basically spent completing my Kitchen assignment... (with alotta 'food-and-pee pee-breaks' in between. *tongue*)

Honestly, I don't know if I can pull this thing off by the end of 2 weeks eh... Haih... *awkward silent moment*

I Kissed A Girl... Hope My BF Don't Mind It!

This was never the way I planned
Not my intention
I got so brave, drink in hand
Lost my discretion
It's not what, I'm used to
Just wanna try you on
I'm curious for you
Caught my attention

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick

I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

No, I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter,
You're my experimental game

Just human nature,
It's not what,
Good girls do
Not how they should behave

My head gets so confused
Hard to obey

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right

Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it...

Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent...

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight

I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it!

My Boom Boom Beginning for Sem 2!

Soooooooooo... it's um, y'know, the beginning of Semester 2 for me... ya-huh, and um, er... Indeed there were a few significant events that took place. But um... y'know... there ain't no big hoohah or nuffin'... but yeah! Mm hmmm...

Let's um, see, shall we?

Two weeks ago, we welcomed our college's newest intake (YTL-ICHM's newest baby) to their newest family (that's us)... it was cool~~... y'know, like they were all hyped-up and we were too... they were excited and jittery ...and well, we were too... Ahahaha... Also, we managed to celebrate the July babies' Surprise Birthday Bash with Dip 3/08! Yippee!

"Happy Birthday, July babies!"
Warm wishes from all of us of Dip 2/08!
It was so "heboh" wei... It was wayyyyy more "gempak" than the birthday celebration for the June babies! (Ouch, sorry babes!) Heh... Ahh well!
So yeah, everything's aight but things have definitely mellowed down over the past few days.

We've started, well, I've started my Food Service classes... Gotta admit, I've learned a whole lotta new stuff in these past two weeks from my F&B lecturer! From folding napkins to polishing glasses and cutlery to table setting and changing table cloths without exposing the surface of the table! Woohoo!

Ru's table setting...
Watch Ru change the table cloth harr... Chup, slowly.
"Tadaa!! A new and clean table cloth just for you.
...courtesy of YTL-ICHM."

And then there was the Fine Dining (Dinner): Rosé Dining by Dip 1/08... Nigel and I went together... And we shared a table with Rachel, Christie, Fernney and Mr Alex!

"Table for 6ix, please!" Hehe...
Gotta say, we WERE the noisiest table in the house! Ahahaha... So much for "fine dining", ey?! Huhuhu... The food, service and ambiance was excellent nonetheless! ("Great job you guys!")
It was a thr33 course meal... and this was what we had:

.:Pan Seared Sea Scallop and Poached Langoustine:.
.:Home made Sorbet:.
.:Roasted Rack of Lamb:.
.:Granny Smith Clafoutis Tart:.
A memorable dining experience shared with friends...
"Thanks Nigel-wigel." =P

Oh and we had our very first Kitchen Operations class ever!! We look sooooooooo *ahem* 'cute' in our chef uniforms! Ahaha... Looks like we're swimming in 'em, in'it? Really... we had a good laugh at each other.

Heh... Fernney and Ru are ready to cook!
Group B: Chef Collin's Dip 2/08 Kitchen Team!
Wooohooo! Ahaha... Yay, we're cooking next week!
Yarp, that's all fer now... I guess...
'Til the next entry, cheers babes!
